HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Fire officials in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County have ruled Sunday evening's 2-alarm house fire arson.

According to officials, fire crews were dispatched to a fully-involved house fire in the 3500 block of Elmerton Avenue on Sunday at around 6:30 p.m.

First responders had to retreat due to the structural integrity of the building being compromised, and one firefighter was treated for burns at Hershey Medical Center.

While crews were leaving the structure, the second floor collapsed into the first floor.

Authorities said the home was not occupied at the time of the fire, and nothing was inside. Damage is estimated at $100,000.

An investigation conducted by Susquehanna Township and the Dauphin County Fire Investigator found evidence of a flammable substance. Susquehanna Township Fire Chief has ruled the fire arson.
