Police made an arrest in a string of thefts from vehicles at a York County business when the GPS capability on some stolen phones led them to a suspect's house.
James A. Detter III, 19, is accused of stealing the phones, money and other property from at least eight vehicles parked at the Fed Ex facility in Lewisberry on April 9, according to Fairview Township police.
In one theft, a car battery was thrown through a window of one of the vehicles.
Detter, who lives near the business and is a former Fed Ex employee, admitted to the thefts and much of the stolen property was recovered, police said.
He was charged with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
