MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

A reported domestic assault led to a lockdown at a Dauphin County elementary school, but police said the children were never in danger.

According to Middletown officials, 28-year-old Francisco Roman of Pineford Village assaulted his wife at their apartment on Tuesday afternoon. Police said he also threatened to kill her.

Roman's wife then went to Reid Elementary, where school officials called Lower Swatara and Middletown police.

Authorities responded and conducted a search for Roman, at which time Reid Elementary was locked down for safety reasons with no danger to the students.

Roman arrived at the school where he was arrested without incident and transported to Dauphin County Night Court.

Officials charged Roman with simple assault, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
