A Stewartstown man was arrested after a home burglary in the York County borough.
Matthew Joseph Arnold, 28, is accused of entering a home and a vehicle in the first block of Church Street early Monday, according to Southern Regional police.
The resident told officers he was awakened by footsteps coming up to his second floor and confronted a burglar who fled the home, police said.
Officers searched the area and found Arnold laying in a field about a block from the victim's home. He had the victim's prescription medication in his possession, police said.
Arnold was charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and theft from a motor vehicle.
He was released after posting $25,000 bail.
Police said other vehicles in the neighborhood had items stolen from them and further charges are pending.
