A Lebanon County man was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York after he was caught with a loaded handgun.
The Annville man also had a cat-eye knuckles weapon when he was arrested Wednesday morning, TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said in a news release.
Port Authority police identified the man as 55-year Richard Forti.
Authorities said Forti had removed his vest and placed it in a bin to pass through the checkpoint when a TSA officer staffing the X-ray machine spotted the handgun in the man's vest pocket.
The knuckles also showed up on the X-ray image, she said.
The cat eyes and the .32 caliber handgun, loaded with five rounds, were confiscated and the Forti was arrested on a weapons charge.
He was originally ticketed to fly to Los Angeles, Farbstein said.
