Police have arrested a suspect in the burglaries of several vacant houses in Lemoyne.

Jeremiah Michael Todd, 34, of Dover, is accused of forcing his way into five homes and removing copper piping from the basements in February and March, West Shore Regional police said.

The break-ins occurred in the 500 block of S. 3rd Street, the 800 block of Hummel Avenue, the 600 block of Bosler Avenue, and the 300 and 400 blocks of Herman Avenue.

Todd, who was already in Cumberland County Prison, was charged Thursday with five counts each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, police said.

His bail was set at $100,000 cash.

According to court documents, Todd was arrested by New Cumberland police on burglary and theft charges on March 25. His bail in that case is set at $75,000 cash.

A preliminary hearing in both cases was scheduled for April 23.
