LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Marietta man has been charged in a standoff with police in Lancaster.
Police said they were called to an apartment in the 200 block of N. Mulberry Street for a report of a man threatening to stab a woman just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Everyone inside was able to get out safely, but 34-year-old Marvin Henson Jr. refused to leave the home and barricaded himself inside, police said.
Neighbors on each side of the street were asked to leave their homes.
"I heard sirens and he screamed and said, 'I am not coming out of here unless you shoot me.' So, five minutes later, my assumption is he didn't want to come out, so when we saw SWAT go in I figured he would be out one way or another," said Scott Beinlich, a neighborhood resident.
Henson was taken into custody just before 10 p.m.
He was charged with terroristic threats and endangering the welfare of a child.
