Lynchburg City Council Candidates Hold Last Forum

Lynchburg, VA - Candidates for Lynchburg City Council gathered one more time at the Jubilee Family Development Center Monday night to speak with Lynchburg voters about current issues.

Their main focus was centered on taking care of the city's poverty issue.

The candidates first spoke to the crowd about their agenda, and then folks got the chance to ask questions and voice their concerns to the candidates.

Voters tonight say their main issue is the city's poverty, but some are also concerned with the number of jobs. Jonathan Dimanche says,"The poverty issue and also education, and a lot of times they do go hand in hand, so if you cater to one I feel like the other one is more likely to be solved."

While Christian Hamilton says "I think that a lot of them are focused on what the real issue is, and I think the real issue is jobs. I don't think that there are a lot of jobs in Lynchburg."

This was the last candidate’s forum before the election on May 6th.
