DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A former music teacher at Dover Intermediate School has been held for court on 661 counts of child pornography.

A district judge on Wednesday found enough evidence against 46-year-old Matthew B. Puterbaugh to forward the case to York County court.

Police said Puterbaugh had 661 images of children engaged in sexual acts on a home computer, apparently all downloaded from the Internet.

Authorities had searched his home in February after a 12-year-old girl reported to school officials that Puterbaugh caressed and squeezed her thigh during a music class.

Police said they also found videos of school-ages girls, including current and former students, on Puterbaugh's cell phone and home computer.

The videos, made without the students' knowledge, focused on the breast and pubic region of clothed girls and were taken from an angle that captured the undergarments the girls wore under their dresses, police said.

Puterbaugh is scheduled to have a formal arraignment in county court on May 30. He remains free on $250,000 bond.
