It's a rainy week ahead

Posted: Updated:
Our sunny and pleasant stretch is coming to an end across Central PA, with some beneficial rain knocking on the doorstep. We will squeeze in one more dry and quiet night in the meantime. Temperatures will sneak into the 30s with some patchy frost possible due to the mainly clear skies.

On Monday clouds will be on the increase with rain arriving toward 7-9 pm across Central PA from south to north. Expect a steady rain into Tuesday, with another batch of steady rain Wednesday. All told, our region could see over 2 inches of rain by Wednesday night. Forecast models are all over the map as far as rain potential amounts due to the upper air setup bringing us the rainfall out of the south. Prepare for highly variable rain totals from location to location due to some of these features. There is the potential for excessive rainfall totals approaching 3-4", but most rivers and streams will be able to hold this water due to prolonged timeframe of the rain.

Showers will continue to remain in the forecast for Thursday, Friday & Saturday as the system is slow to pull away. Some sun will peek out on these days, but the upcoming week will be more about the April showers, than it will be about April sun!
