CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -
Carlisle Police say they arrested an alleged burglar after the victim chased the burglar out of his apartment.
Officials say the victim, 64-year-old Gary Paxton, woke up just before 7 a.m. Saturday to find a man standing with a crowbar in the bedroom of his Carlisle home.
The victim chased the suspect out of his apartment building before calling police.
Police found 23-year-old Jonathan Caban on the 100 block of Mulberry Avenue, about a block away from the scene. Caban matched the suspect description and was held. He was later identified as the suspect and charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
During the incident, the victim's door was damaged and a neighboring, vacant apartment was damaged, according to police.
