Flooding potential remains as rain tapers to showers overnight

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - Rainfall reports have ranged from just an inch or two across our northwestern counties, to as much as 4" across southeastern parts of our region. The rain will become more showery this evening and tonight with some downpours still likely. Additional rain will average an inch or two bringing the multi-day totals into the 2-4" range with some isolated spots seeing over 4".

Flood Watches remain in place with smaller streams in some parts of Adams, York and Lancaster Counties over their banks. Flood Warnings are in place there. Larger creeks and streams region wide will likely experience minor flooding into Thursday. The Susquehanna will experience a significant rise but should crest at or just below flood stage by late this week.

The storm begins to exit late tonight, but a couple of leftover showers could linger into Thursday. Highs tomorrow warm up into the 70s! Friday stays dry with temperatures climbing into the mid 60s.

Similar to last weekend, the upcoming weekend shows a cold front moving through the Midstate. A stray shower is possible on Saturday when the front moves through, but most of the day will be dry. Cooler and breezy conditions arrive for Sunday.
