One person , Kenneth Childers, a 27-year-old African American male from Birmingham has been arrested and formally charged with Abuse of a Corpse, in connection with the death of Megan Monroe.

He has not been formally charged as of yet but we anticipate charging him as well. Additional charges may be forthcoming pending an official cause of death from the coroner's office.
