Auburn football opener vs Arkansas set for 3 p.m. kickoff

Posted: Updated:
AUBURN - AL - Auburn and Arkansas could be fighting more than just the SEC schedule when they kickoff the 2014 season.

The August 30 opener will be played at 3 p.m. according to an SEC Network announcement.

The SEC Network released it's schedule of games for the first four weeks of the season. Auburn's opener will be the only time the Tigers are scheduled to be featured on the network through the first four weeks of the season.

"The fact that the SEC Network will originate a game from every stadium in the conference in the first four weeks of the 2014 season is a testament to the depth of coverage fans can expect from the network," SEC commissioner Mike Slive said in a press release. "In just the first month of the season, fans that get the network will enjoy all the passion and pageantry of SEC football from 14 of the greatest venues in the world of sports. This is what the SEC Network is all about."

The SEC Network plans to broadcast SEC Nation, it's pregame show live from the Auburn campus leading up to the Tigers opener with the Razorbacks.
