CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Carlisle man is facing charges after police say he attempted to rob a man last month.
Officials say on April 21, Richard N. Ferrer, 37, allegedly approached a 29-year-old man on the 1st block of W. Pomfret Street and demanded money from him. When the victim refused, Ferrer allegedly produced a knife.
The victim grabbed Ferrer and when the two men fell to the ground, the knife dropped and Ferrer fled the area on foot, according to a news release.
The victim received three minor cuts from the incident.
Ferrer was arrested Thursday and has been charged with robbery, simple assault and attempted theft.
