Ali blogs from LA about DWTS set visit!

Posted: Updated:
HOLLYWOOD, Ca. (WHTM) - I just had the most fabulous day in Los Angeles!  My photographer, Joe Camut, and I had the chance to take in so many "touristy" sites including the Chinese Theater, the Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, and the Santa Monica Pier!  And the view from my hotel room is the "Hollywood" sign itself!

We're in town for a behind-the-scenes visit to the Dancing with the Stars set.  Anyone who watches Daybreak knows that we like to have a lot of fun with the show.  From Brett's interpretation of the "Billy Dee Williams Shuffle" to our weekly report about "who gets the boot" -- we are always chatting about it and you are always weighing in!  We know Dancing with the Stars makes a lot of you happy and so we wanted to do something that's never been done before on Daybreak!

When we were at the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard we had the chance to chat with tourists and locals about Dancing with the Stars.  Everyone had an opinion about who would take home the mirror ball trophy this year.  One woman was all about Candace Cameron Bure.  Another man said he would put his money on Danica McKellar, being a huge fan of the Wonder Years.  James Maslow certainly had no shortage of fans either.

Interestingly enough, a man dressed as Spiderman was the only one to pick the recent front-runners, Meryl Davis and Maks, to win it all.  He said he had just seen them having an "intimate" lunch together in Hollywood.  Does Spiderman tell the truth?  TMZ might be interested in that information, Spidey.

It was pretty neat to see all of the "stars" on the Walk of Fame.  I could not, for the life of me, find James Crummel's star.  I tried for hours to no avail.  Oh well.

Monday's episode of Dancing with the Stars promises to be jam-packed with drama.  First of all, Pa.'s own Abby Lee Miller of 'Dance Moms' is the guest judge and I am told she is a pretty tough critic.  Also -- the stars will ditch their regular partners and dance with another star for the first ever "Dance Duel."

Joe and I will have the honor of watching the show backstage.  Afterwards, we'll get to chat with the stars and their partners.

Remember -- there are only two episodes left before the big finale!

Dancing with the Stars airs Monday night at 8 p.m. on abc27.  Our reports will air throughout Daybreak on Tuesday morning as we report LIVE from L.A. -- on no sleep!  What could possibly go wrong?!?!

If you have a question for YOUR favorite star or pro dancer, tweet me @AliLanyon!

Goodnight from Hollywood!
