A Halifax man is headed to court on charges he assaulted and injured a police officer during his arrest last month.
Brian James Warren, 34, waived a preliminary hearing Monday and was held for court on counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, and resisting arrest.
State police troopers and Officer William Snyder of the Halifax Police Department were attempting to serve arrest warrants on Warren on April 22 when he jumped from the second story window of a home and fled, police said.
Snyder was punched in the chest and sustained a broken finger as he and the troopers struggled with Warren, police said.
Warren remains in Dauphin County Prison on $75,000 bail.
