A car that was hit by a bullet on Route 272 in Lancaster County may be related to similar incidents in the area, according to police.
The 2013 BMW sedan was headed north on Route 272 in Drumore Township when the bullet pierced the passenger-side door in the area of Deaver Road on Wednesday at 10:40 p.m., state police in Lancaster said.
A pickup truck was seen on Deaver Road at the time the incident occurred, police said.
State police said last week that a bullet was shot into the door of a vehicle on Route 272 in Drumore Township at around the same time the night before, on April 29.
That same night, someone fired a bullet that window through a window of a home in the 100 block of Main Street in New Providence. Police said the bullet then struck a ceiling beam and a fragment was found on the floor.
No one was injured in any of the incidents.
