STRASBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police and the Lancaster County Coroner's Office are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash involving an 10-year-old Amish girl.

Rachael Zook was struck by a pickup truck in the 2200 block of White Oak Drive in Strasburg Township at around 4 p.m. Tuesday and died of blunt force trauma, Coroner Stephen Diamantoni said.

Her death has been ruled accidental.

Police said Zook was collecting sticks from a yard and was at the side of the rural road, which has a posted speed limit of 35 mph.

The pickup also struck a wooden push cart, which then hit and injured a 6-year-old boy, police said. There was no immediate word on his medical condition.

Police said the driver, a 22-year-old Quarryville man, stopped and stayed at the scene. He is not facing charges at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
