The University of Alabama had eight players selected in the 2014 NFL draft including two first-round picks.

The Crimson Tide was well-represented during the opening round Thursday night when linebacker C.J. Mosley was taken with the 17th overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens and safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was drafted 21st overall by the Green Bay Packers.

Offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio was third off the draft board when the Buffalo Bills selected him with the 44th overall pick in the second round. Wide receiver Kevin Norwood was next, drafted in the 4th round by the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Quarterback AJ McCarron, who many experts projected would be a second or third-round pick, slid all the way to the fifth round, landing with the Cincinnati Bengals at pick No. 164. Prior to McCarron being drafted, defensive end Ed Stinson was taken with the 160th pick by the Arizona Cardinals.

Safety Vinnie Sunseri, who elected to forgo his senior season despite ending his junior campaign with a torn ACL, was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round.

'Bama players who went undrafted include cornerbacks Deion Belue and John Fulton, offensive lineman Anthony Steen, outside linebacker Adrian Hubbard and punter Cody Mandell.

Alabama Free-agent signings following the draft:

CB Deion Belue, Miami Dolphins
P Cody Mandell, Dallas Cowboys
CB John Fulton, Philadelphia Eagles
