LEOLA, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Leola man was arrested after police say he stole a car and was found to be in possession of other stolen property.

Frederick Cecilio Sisneros, 42, stole the car in the first block of Holly Drive early Sunday and was taken into custody without incident in the area of the Olde Leacock Village development, East Lampeter Township police said.

After his arrest, Sisneros was found to be in possession of stolen property that was taken during a theft from a vehicle in the first block of Quarry Road prior to the vehicle theft, police said.

He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and theft from a motor vehicle and jailed in Lancaster County Prison on $8,000 cash bail.

East Lampeter police have been investigating at least seven vehicle thefts in the last two weeks as well as several thefts from vehicles. Sisneros has not been charged in any of those crimes.

Police said their investigation continues and additional charges will be forthcoming.
