Dauphin County mom delivers 2nd child on special day

HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) -

Tina Echternach woke up Sunday morning and was feeling a little strange.

Moments later, her water broke and husband Brad rushed her to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Tina spent 10 hours in labor before giving birth to her son, Tanner, who weighed in at 8.4 pounds.

Tina says having Tanner on Mother's Day was special, but it was not her first special delivery. Seven years ago, she gave birth to son Bryar on Father's Day.

"I wanted to go into labor on Mother's Day," she said. "I wanted to have a baby on Father's Day and Mother's Day."

Tina says both her boys were born 10 days early.

She and her husband will take Tanner home on Tuesday.
