HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have identified a suspect in the armed robbery of a Hanover business this week, and now they need help tracking him down.

Zackery Alan Thompson-Kassakatis, 22, of York Springs, is accused of robbing a business in the Hanover Crossing shopping center in the 400 block of Eisenhower Drive Monday night.

Hanover Police Chief Dwayne Smith said Thompson-Kassakatis was identified through various tips reported to police after surveillance photos from the robbery were released to news organizations.

Thompson-Kassakatis has been charged with robbery, unlawful restraint, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Smith said the victim, a 21-year-old McSherrystown man, was alone in the business when the robber began browsing the store as if he were a customer.

He eventually approached the cash register, raised his shirt to show the handgun and demanded money. Smith said the victim complied and handed over several hundred dollars from the register.

The suspect then ordered the victim to walk out of the store with him, then instructed him to walk one direction while he walked in the other, Smith said.

The robber was last seen walking west along the 300 block of Eisenhower Drive.

The victim, who was not injured, called police from a nearby business.

Police said Thompson-Kassakatis has used various aliases including Zakery Alan Kassakatis, Zackery Alan Kassakatis and Zakery Kassakatis.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Hanover police at 717-637-5575.
