Harrisburg mural destroyed

Posted: Updated:
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

People in Harrisburg are fired up after someone painted over a beloved mural.

BARAK, Inc., a local youth arts organization, says someone whitewashed one of its murals on N. 3rd and Hamilton streets.

Just a small part of the artwork was left on the side of the wall.

Wendell Murray, the founder of BARAK, says the mural was worth more than $10,000.

It was created by a regional artist as tribute to the history of Harrisburg's neighborhoods.
