A section of Interstate 81 southbound in Lebanon County has reopened where a tanker truck crashed into a PennDOT bridge cleaning operation, injuring the truck driver and a PennDOT worker.
The interstate reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
PennDOT spokesman Greg Penny said the tanker truck crashed into the back of a PennDOT dump truck that was involved in sweeping and washing bridge decks.
The crash occurred at mile marker 93, three miles north of the Lickdale exit, around 1:15 p.m.
Penny said the tanker was going around 65 mph when it struck a truck-mounted attachment known as an impact attenuator, which is designed to absorb the impact of a crash.
The PennDOT driver and the tanker truck driver were both injured and transported to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Their injuries did not appear to be life threatening, Penny said.
