MARIETTA, Pa. (WHTM) -

Two teenage girls were arrested after they allegedly set fire to a vacant home in Marietta.

Susquehanna Regional police said a nearby resident saw the 13- and 14-year-old girl enter the house in the 600 block of Market Street, then saw the building on fire a short time later.

When officers arrived, the girls were identified to police and were taken into custody.

The fire was extinguished by responding fire departments.

The girls were charged with arson, burglary, criminal trespass, and causing or creating a catastrophe.

Both were committed to the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.
