East Penn approves plan for tax hike, full-day kindergarten

Posted: Updated:
ENOLA, Pa. (WHTM) - The East Pennsboro Township school board is considering a few changes in its budget for next year.

Monday night, the board approved a plan that would reinstate full-day kindergarten.  It also calls for a 3.77 percent tax increase.  That's about $65 more a year for an average property owner.

School officials said the district is not in the red, but they need to do something to combat long-term debts.

Final approval is expected sometime in mid-June.
