Police have filed criminal charges against a Wrightsville woman in a crash that killed a Marietta man last year.
Shannon Rae Thurman, 30, was arraigned Tuesday on counts including homicide by vehicle while DUI and aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, according to Susquehanna Regional police.
Thurman went into oncoming traffic on Route 441 in East Donegal Township and struck a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Wagdy Beh Abdel Shaheed on the night of December 28, police said.
A passenger in Thurman's vehicle sustained serious injuries from the crash.
Police said their investigation revealed Thurman was driving with a blood-alcohol content of .154 percent, nearly twice the legal limit of .08 percent.
She was ordered to surrender her license and released on $100,000 unsecured bail.
