DILLSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police evacuated customers and employees from a Dillsburg bank this afternoon for a suspicious item that turned out to be no more than a soda can.

Carroll Township police said the can had tape on it when it was found in the lobby of the PNC Bank at 403 N. Baltimore Street around 1:14 p.m.

A state police bomb squad, along with several K-9s and their handlers, responded to search the bank and its parking lot, but no explosive devices or materials were detected.

After examining the suspicious item, police determined it was not an explosive device.
