Hearing delayed for Harrisburg church leader

Posted: Updated:
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A preliminary hearing has been delayed for a Harrisburg church leader, again.

Bishop A. E. Sullivan was arrested in February after an abandoned church he owns at 12th and Magnolia Streets in Harrisburg crumbled.

The partial collapse forced nine people to evacuate.

The vacant church was 117 years old and was demolished.

Mayor Eric Papenfuse says the property was condemned years ago and Sullivan did not keep up with repayment of fines and failed to have a demolition plan.

There's no word for when the hearing will be rescheduled.
