Police have filed summary charges against two drivers who were involved in a collision that resulted in the death of a Lancaster woman at the intersection of North Water and West Lemon streets.
Harold White, 81, of Lancaster, was cited for careless driving and other violations for failing to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic as he entered the intersection from North Water on March 5, police said Wednesday.
Thomas Hogge Jr., 50, also of Lancaster, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
White was in a 1998 Cadillac Seville that collided with a 1996 Ford E250 van driven by Hogge. After the impact, the Cadillac went partially up onto the sidewalk along the southwest corner of the intersection and struck 52-year-old Catherine Dowling, who died from her injuries at a hospital.
Police also cited Patricia Cepeda, the owner of the van, for allowing Hogge to drive while his license was suspended.
