Natural remedies can help allergy sufferers

Posted: Updated:
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

The Healthy Grocer on Carlisle Pike has seen its share of allergy sufferers looking for help.

Nancy Mayne is the wellness director. She says its important to match your symptoms with the right natural solution. She says homeopathics will provide relief and they are a safe alternative for someone who may be using prescription drugs or other over the counter medications.

Nancy has worked at Healthy Grocer for two years and she says some people still have to get over the misconception that natural alternatives have no merit.

"Aspirin is a classic," said Mayne, "White will bark is a good example. Aspirin was copied by companies centuries later to have the same effect."

Nancy says herbals can also provide symptom relief, but like other known medications, some may work and some may not.
