Police trying to track home burglars through found bicycles

Posted: Updated:
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police investigating a burglary at a suburban Harrisburg home this week are trying to track down the intruders through the bicycles they apparently left at the scene of the crime.

Susquehanna Township police said three bicycles were found behind the home in the 3500 block of Kramer Street after an off-duty police officer witnessed the burglary Wednesday around 11:30 a.m.

Police have released photographs of the bicycles as part of their investigation.

Officers searched the home and a nearby wooded area, but did not find the burglars, who were described as three males in their mid-teens to early twenties. Witnesses saw them fleeing on foot shortly after the burglary.

Anyone with information about the bikes or the burglary is asked to call Susquehanna Township police at 717-909-9242 or leave an anonymous message at 717-909-TIPS.
