Police arrest suspect in Lancaster homicide

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) - Lancaster police arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide Saturday evening.

The shooting happened at the intersection of East Chestnut and North Cherry Streets earlier in the day at around 2 a.m.

Domonique Boyer, 27, died at the hospital as result of gunshots to the chest, police said. They arrested 23-year-old Christopher Johnson. 

Multiple witnesses identified Johnson as the shooter, according to police. Lancaster City detectives then located Johnson at his Columbia Borough residence. 

Johnson was charged with criminal homicide and carrying a firearm without a license. He was placed in Lancaster County Prison without bail. 

The investigation is ongoing.
