MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have announced the arrests of two Florida men who allegedly stole food from a Cumberland County store after getting the attention of security officers when they asked for help getting marijuana.

Silver Spring Township police said Hector Guerrero, 33, and Santos Saraute Jr., 36, both of Hialeah, Florida, approached a young woman at the Mechanicsburg Wal-Mart last month and asked her if she knew where they could buy marijuana, unaware she was a plainclothes security officer.

When the woman said she had no marijuana to sell, Guerrero and Saraute ordered platters of hot food from the deli and, with the attention of Wal-Mart security, consumed their meal, placed the leftovers in a takeout bag and walked out of the store without paying, police said.

Police arrested the men as they were entering their vehicle and charged each with summary retail theft.
