For the third time in a month, someone has broken into the maintenance lot for City of Harrisburg vehicles.
Over the weekend, somebody jumped into a Harrisburg police car and smashed into other city vehicles parked at the lot off Paxton Street.
The police car never left the lot, unlike a similar break-in in May when three city vehicles were stolen including a marked police car.
All three of those vehicles were recovered in different parts of the city, and there was a third break-in about two weeks ago.
"It's a new facility and there's a lot growing pains," councilwoman Sandra Reid said. "We don't have a security system set up yet. It's frustrating because you're a public works facility and you're trying to get your job done."
