HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

State troopers investigating an incident where a Harrisburg police officer struck and injured a pedestrian are examining the patrol car's event data recorder, or "black box," abc27 News has learned.

The 27-year-old pedestrian was walking in the 500 block of Maclay Street when he was hit by the city police car around 2 a.m. Sunday.

His family says the man is listed in critical condition at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

The city says the officer was on duty when the incident occurred, and has not been placed on leave.
