Police: 2 cleared in Hanover arson, theft spree

Update: Police say the two subjects were identified, interviewed, and are no longer persons of interest.

Police have released a set of surveillance photos as part of their investigation into a weekend crime spree in Hanover where a thief or thieves entered as many as 20 vehicles, set two on fire and attempted to burn two more.

Authorities said the two people in the pictures may have information about the crimes, so they're asking for help in identifying them.

Two of the cars set on fire early Saturday were total losses, and flames from one parked on Moul Avenue spread to a garage and two other vehicles.

All vehicles burned were close to occupied homes with adults and children sleeping inside, and the total loss is nearly $200,000, according to investigators.

Other incidents occurred on East Walnut Street, Blossom Drive and Spencer Drive.

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that results in a conviction.
