Blood Drive Friday in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOA COUNTY - AL - Donors have a chance to roll up their sleeves and give blood Friday during the Tuscaloosa Heroes Blood Drive.

It will be held Friday, June 6 at University Mall on East McFarland Boulevard. Hours are from Noon to 6 p.m.

The American Red Cross say with the summer around the corner, donors of all blood types are needed.

"Blood donations often decline during the summer when schools are out of session and families are vacationing," said Alicia Anger, External Communications Manager, Alabama and Central Gulf Coast Blood Services Region. "But the need for blood is constant. Eligible donors are encouraged to make an appointment now to roll up a sleeve and give patients a chance for hope this summer and throughout the year."
