Carlisle man wanted for assault, resisting arrest

Posted: Updated:
CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Carlisle police are looking for a man after he allegedly violated a Protection from Abuse order by assaulting a woman and then resisted his arrest.

Robert Leach, of Carlisle, assaulted the woman Saturday by shoving her multiple times and then body slamming her to the ground, police said in a news release.

The woman was taken to a hospital and was in good condition.

Police said when they tried to take Leach into custody, he fought with officers, shoved one of them and took off running. Police and a K9 unit searched, but did not find him.

Leach, who also goes by Robert Brooker, may be attempting to travel to Harrisburg or Philadelphia, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Carlisle police at 717-243-5252.
