RA Bistro Features Local Chicken For ABC-13 Restaurant Week

Posted:
Lynchburg, VA- RA Bistro in Lynchburg waited until ABC-13 Restaurant Week to premiere an all new menu item.

The restaurant will now partner with Restoration Farms outside of Roanoke to provide local, all natural, free-range chicken..

The restaurant is training their employees on the importance of buying and eating local and many have been to the farm. Owner and operator Alex Richardson said they watch the chickens grow from the time they hatch until they are full grown.

"Creating relationships, you know, they're going to eat at my restaurant, I'm going to buy their food, you in turn are going to come eat at my restaurant, you're going to buy their food, and we keep it local, we keep it running and that's even the beauty of restaurant week is to focus on the local restaurants," said Richardson.

The all natural chicken from Restoration Acres is featured in two menu items on RA's ABC-13 Restaurant Week menu.
