Auburn vs Kansas State football game sells out three months in advance

Posted: Updated:
Manhattan, Kansas - Auburn football's trip to Kansas State has peaked the fans interest.

KSU announced that the game, scheduled for Thursday Sept. 18, is officially a sellout.

Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas is 50,000 seat capacity. The game against Auburn is the first home game to sell out at Kansas State this summer.

It will be the Tigers first Thursday game against a non-conference opponent since 2008.

"K-State fans have stepped up against and are on the verge of another sold-out season at Bill Snyder Family Stadium," Kansas State athletics director John Currie said in a news release. "We are closing in on 20 consecutive sellouts and expect to do so before the season begins, and we appreciate our fans' support in making Bill Snyder Family Stadium on gamedays the best environment in the Big 12."

Kansas State finished 8-5 last season, including a 31-14 win over Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.
