UPDATE: Jae Valley Rd. Reopens in Roanoke Co. Following Tanker Crash

Roanoke Co., VA - Roanoke County Police say Jae Valley Road has reopened.  The tractor and trailer have been removed from the scene.

Roanoke Co., VA - The Roanoke County Police Department has released the name of the driver involved in Wednesday morning’s tanker accident on Jae Valley Road. The driver’s name is David H. Bennett, 61, of Conway, SC.
 
Trucks 28 feet or longer are forbidden on Jae Valley Road. Traffic signs stating that are posted for drivers. Bennett was driving a 2001 Freightliner tractor with a tanker trailer attached.
 
Bennett has been charged with fail to obey a highway sign and fail to maintain control.
 
Jae Valley Road remains closed at this time. Police continue to gather information about the accident.
