Thomas Road Baptist Church Says Goodbye To Co-Pastor Emeritus Moon

Posted:
Lynchburg, VA - Thomas Road Baptist Church said goodbye to their Co-Pastor Emeritus, who worked with the church for more than four decades.

Rev. Jim Moon passed away on Monday at the age of 79.

After the late Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr. founded Thomas Road Baptist Church in 1956, Reverend Jim Moon served as co-pastor for the church.

Jonathan Falwell says that Moon's character shined brightly for the entire congregation to see.

"This was a good man. A man that loved his Lord, loved his family, loved his church, loved the people. A man that you could look to as an example," Falwell said.

Moon also served as substitute host for Falwell's "Old Time Gospel Hour."
