Upper Allen Township police are warning residents about several recent black bear sightings.
The latest report was at around 10:45 Sunday morning along the first block of Winding Hills Drive. Similar black bear sightings had been reported in the area Cumberland Parkway and Gettysburg Pike within the last 24 hours. There have been no reports, however, of the bear being hostile or aggressive, police said.
Residents are asked to move trash containers and bird feeders inside, so as not to attract bears. If a bear is seen, do not approach it or attempt to confine the bear in any way.
Police are working with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, and residents are asked to call the Upper Allen Police Department at 238-9676 regarding any additional sightings.
