President Obama will meet with top Congressional leaders about violence in Iraq at the White House Wednesday.
People in the Midstate will be paying close attention to what role the United States will play.
This week nearly 300 armed forces were positioned in and around Iraq to help protect Americans in the country and other assets. U.S. officials would not rule out the use of air strikes.
Many people in the Midstate are now wondering what will be the next step for the United States.
"You gotta save the people in Iraq that are in our American Embassy. You gotta put boots down to get those people ready to go," said Billy Kaldes.
The violence in Iraq is having an impact at the gas pump. Since word of the fighting broke last week, gas prices have ticked up. The national average is now $3.66.
