LITITZ, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lititz man was arrested Monday night after a resident caught and confronted him inside his garage, police said.

Zachary Gilbert, 20, was seen looking through the resident's car and fled through neighboring yards after he was confronted in the 400 block of Oak Street just before midnight, according to Northern Lancaster County Regional police.

Gilbert was taken into custody by officers a short time later and found to be in possession of various items believed to have been stolen from area vehicles, police said.

He was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and attempted theft and placed in Lancaster County Prison on $50,000 bail.
