HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Harrisburg man has been arrested for allegedly impersonating a police officer while robbing a prostitute.

Johnnie M. Shingler, 27, answered the woman's ad on a website, met her at a hotel and paid $100 for her services, but afterwards pulled a handgun and some type of identification and told the woman he was a detective, Susquehanna Township police said.

Shingler demanded the $100 back and then left the hotel, police said.

He admitted to the allegations during a police interview and was arrested for robbery, impersonating a public servant and patronizing a prostitute.

His bail at Dauphin County Prison was set at $10,000.
