Teen sentenced to life for '13 killing

Posted: Updated:
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -  A Harrisburg teen will spend the rest of his life in prison without the chance of parole.

Justin Clark, 19, was sentenced Monday.  His case was Dauphin County's first homicide involving a juvenile under new federal sentencing guidelines.

Clark was convicted of killing Robert Burris back in March of 2013.  Clark was 17 at the time.

The new law states a separate hearing must be held to sentence juveniles.  But the judge in Clark's case said by shooting 11 rounds into a crowd, Clark's actions deserved a life sentence.

Clark's attorney plans to appeal.
