Lancaster man, 26, killed in ATV crash

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Officials in Lancaster are investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man.

On Saturday, June 14, at around 3:10 p.m., Lancaster police officers responded to the scene of a crash on the 700 block of Fairview Avenue for a report of a crash involving an ATV and several other vehicles.

First responders found the driver of the ATV under a parked Cadillac.

Investigators found that the ATV had been traveling south on Fairview Avenue and had struck the side of a gray Jeep Liberty, also heading southbound. The driver of the ATV lost control of his vehicle, striking a Ford Focus and the Cadillac, which were legally parked along the northbound lane.The driver of the ATV suffered numerous serious injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to an area hospital for further treatment.

On Wednesday, June 25, officers were told that the driver died as a result of his injuries. He has since been identified as 26-year-old Elvin Nunez-Colon of Lancaster.This crash is actively being investigated by the Lancaster City Crash Investigation team.
